We Care for Humanity (WCH) recently announced its partnership formed with Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) towards awarding Scholarships on Higher Education to underprivileged women and girls in the SAARC countries particularly Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.  GITM pledged to award five scholarships grants on B. Tech and BBA degrees to WCH annually to distribute to above mentioned countries.

According to WCH founder and president, Princess Maria Amor Torres, the partnership with GITM is a huge support to WCH’s education program- EDUCATION FOR HER, empowering women and girls through education which is the focus of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. “The best weapon to combat poverty, hunger, violence and inequality is education. No woman or girl should be deprived of education because of her economic condition or gender.”  She continues, “everyone should have access to education but since that world is not ready for it yet, we are grateful for institutions like GITM, whose humanitarian attributes are beyond its corporate social responsibility.”

The Global Institute of Technology & Management, Gurgaon, was established in 2008 under the aegis of the Baljeet Singh Education Society (Regd.) to promote quality technical & management education of global standard in a world-class environment. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Govt. of India and is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (Haryana).

We are spreading our wings in all directions in order to touch colossal heights, to craft our own future and to evolve as an oasis of excellence in the years to come. I am confident that with our intellectual pool of faculty, we will be able to contribute very significantly towards the advancement of knowledge locally in India and globally as well to transform the society”, stated by Advocate Ravinder Tokas, chairman of GITM. He also added, “We can’t be more than gratified working with We Care for Humanity and Princess Maria Amor in extending our mission and making sure that we are transforming the lives of these women and girls.”
