Producer and Writer Daniel Jesse is set to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for the movie “The Price of Silver,” with the goal of having it premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2020.
Written and produced by Daniel Jesse, “The Price of Silver” is a documentary that will challenge old paradigms and draw audiences into fresh ways of engaging reality. In this documentary, Daniel Jesse follows the rise and fall of Silver City, Utah, a once great mining town. This journey will include discovering the monetary costs, the cost in resources, and most importantly – the human costs. It is his quest to answer the underlying questions regarding The Price of Silver.
With “The Price of Silver” movie, Daniel Jesse aims to bring the town of Silver City, Utah back to life (or as near as possible). He has a dream in his mind of how it would be to go back in time with a video camera and to capture the day-to-day of the town and its citizens. This is probably derived from his familial connection to the town from both sides of his family, but nonetheless, he maintains that kind of immersion would be fascinating.
“The Price of Silver” project will use unique points of view, employ observational filmmaking techniques, and rely on the audience to participate in constructing the meaning. This amazing project needs a minimum of $1,000 to hire digital artists to recreate important scenes pertaining to Silver City, Utah including creating 3D models of structures that were key points of interest to the city – such as the Taylor Brunton Sampler (used for processing silver ore). For every $100.00 donation, you will be credited in the film.
