The Elysian Boutique Heights Releases Plan For Acquisitions, Franchising, And Growth In The Nail Industry
The Elysian Boutique, an Upscale Nail Salon Brand in Houston Texas aims to explore opening 10 new locations by the end of 2021 by offering First Generation Nail Salon Business Owners a way to exit their businesses.

Texas, United States In under a little over a year, The Elysian Boutique, a modern and upscale nail salon located in Houston Heights, has built a Brand that everyone is talking about.

Despite initial setback of construction and launch in September 2017, when Hurricane Harvey left a massive wound in Houston, The Elysian Boutique opened its doors in August 2018.

“There were a lot of challenges, and it was an uphill battle the entire way, but we refused to let anything come in the way of seeing what we spent the last 10 years envisioning of building. And here we are today. We’re extremely grateful and thankful to all of our clients who have been amazing in taking a chance with us, and recommending us to their friends and family. We wouldn’t be here today if we didn’t have the support of the community.” – Jonathan Watarine, Partner of The Elysian Boutique Heights

The Flagship Elysian Boutique is the proving grounds to validate the business model and work out all the unknowns that’s generally associated with a new business. The Brand has proven the model is working, people are loving the concept, and has the social proof to back it, with a 5 Star Rating on Google, and 4.5 Stars on Yelp, and over 4,000 followers on Instagram.

What separates The Elysian Boutique from others is the passion behind the brand from one of the Partners.

“I’ve worked my whole life in over a dozen different nail salons, from the low-end churn and burn shops to the over the top hotel nail spas, and learned a lot about what they’re doing wrong. And I realized that despite me telling the owners that we shouldn’t be doing something because it’s harmful to the clients, nobody cared enough to change. I knew then that I had to be the one to create that change that the industry desperately needs, because I was so sick of seeing people be harmed by bad practices, and lack of care to the art of nails.” – Lynda Nguyen, Partner of The Elysian Boutique Heights

Hygiene, sanitation of tools, and non-toxic products are just some of the few things that The Elysian Boutique focuses on maintaining and setting the standard for. There is a growing concern for Women who care about their health and what their nails are exposed to now. Nail Education plays a big role in helping women make more informed choice in where they get their nails done, and what they choose to put on their fingernails. The Therapists at The Elysian Boutique all play a part every day in helping empower women with the knowledge to keep their nails healthy.

Studies show that symptoms appearing on the fingernails are often one of the first signs of underlying conditions that could lead to something more severe. An early diagnosis that is often overlooked could lead to early treatment and save hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses. The Therapists are all trained to identify these early signs and will undergo certification later this year.

Despite starting in one of the notoriously down seasons in the industry, The Elysian Boutique has managed to consistently grow in revenue, and returning clients, month over month. With the summer months approaching, momentum is only going to grow stronger for the brand.

The Elysian Boutique has already producing in-house formulations of products such as bath bombs, salt soaks, and various scrubs, and intends on continuing to create custom products that are specifically designed to meet the rigorous standards of the Brand.

The next phase of the brand is to expand to 3 more locations locally, and 10 across Texas by the end of 2021.

“We’re seeing a transitional shift in the industry, where many nail salon owners who have had their business for decades are looking to retire, and their children don’t want to take over the business. We’re hoping to provide an option for these hard working people who can pass off their businesses to us, and trust that we will take care of the business. Our goal is to take everything we’ve learned from our first location, and replicate and rebrand these locations under The Elysian Boutique brand to increase our footprint, and at the same time, provide people a nail salon that they can trust with their nails.” – Prashil Kumar, Partner of The Elysian Boutique Heights

A rollup strategy is not a new concept in the service retail business, with franchises like Sports Clips, and Massage Envy paving a way for the often overlooked industry worth $8.3 Billion Dollars in the US. What is giving way to this opportunity for the Brand is the perfect combination of various consumer behavior shifts, transitional shifts, and the growing awareness and education around nail health.

The Partnership is currently in the planning phase of identifying the next locations, as well as exploring mutually beneficial partnerships going forward.
